1.) Describe your first encounter with Mersur?

Mersur is modern and feminine, it evokes a sense of adventure and travel and the color combinations are so chic! I loved everything about Mersur. I am a designer myself, colors and prints are so personal but I was drawn to ALL of the Mersur prints!! I don't usually wear such colorful prints on the day to day but in the summer and when at beach locales like Shelter Island, Montauk, or tropical vacations, Mersur is my go to!

2.) What are three words that come to mind to describe the brand?

Modern, free spirited, luxurious

3.) We say at Mersur breathing is the best high. What gives you the best high?

Just breathe. It's so true, sometimes you just have to breathe. There is a moment at the end of a yoga class or even a hard soul cycle class where you breathe and feel "I feel good! I can do anything!" Love the feeling of that breath, or the breath you take after a great deep laugh the kind where you have to literally catch your breath at the end...

4.) What makes you feel like a goddess?

Feeling like a goddess is not just for special occasion...Confidence high, head up, get your goddess on. When all is aligned and your mission is clear and self doubt is low, feeling like you made the right choice, living in the moment. When you're walking down an NYC street and your theme song is playing in your mind.

5.) Describe your dream destination right now

I absolutely love the beach and am really craving some fresh sea air and the calming sound of the waves. Somehow the waves wash away the world and for a few moments all is forgotten. So any beach will do... But I have been going on a South African Safari for a few years

6.) What song are you singing in the shower, playing on repeat or belting out loud to in the car?

It's been about a month since I saw Adele live, and I have to say her voice still fills my mind...HELLOOOO. Amazing.

Live it, believe it, I love a good contradiction or mix up. But I only wear things that I feel good in

12.) How do you want to feel in your clothes? How does wearing your Mersur make you feel

Everyone has their days but I think it's more important to feel confident and sexy in your clothes. Yes, comfortable too, but, this is fashion we're discussing HA!

13.) Where was your favorite place to wear your Mersur?

Well my Mersur made it's debut in Shelter Island this summer! That is one of my favorites places, my dear friends own a place there and I feel very comfortable and peaceful there, so adding a Mersur chic moment completed the whole scene.

14.) Tell us about the work you do and why is it important to women?

One of the biggest issues for women of all ages and sizes is FIT. I design custom clothing for women that is modern, handcrafted, and feminine. Designed by women for women. Each piece is one of a kind and designed to fit your unique personality and measurements. For decades, men have had the luxury of custom clothing (shirts, suits, etc) and I want to make this accessible for all women. We give women permission to take the time and invest in themselves. Like Mersur, it is about the way you feel. When a shirt or jacket fits you like a glove, you worry less about what you are wearing and more about the issue at hand. You're able to embrace the moment. It automatically gives you confidence, you stand up straighter, you sit at the table.

15. Do you believe in mermaids?

Of course.

16. How do you turn an everyday workday into an adventure?

Well, every day is an adventure for me. Each day is different. Some days I meet with clients to collaborate on designing the perfect shirt, some days I am running all over the city, other days working the website....having my own business has been a true adventure! I am learning every day! but when I hit a roadblock, I try to say how can I make this happen instead of why it isn't happening. What else can we do? How else can we look at this? And the adventure begins.

17. What is your favorite way to have fun?

Relaxing and sharing good fun and good laughs with great friends especially when a well deserved cocktail is involved.

I am not sure BUT I try to live with intention, laugh often, travel, and believe in what I do and the rest......we have to wait and see
